Instructions - LSHTM Ethics Online Application (LEO) system Review Website- Obs A, B, Int, and CaRR

 

The link to the review website for the new online ethics application system is: http://leo-review.lshtm.ac.uk (Please use Google Chrome or Firefox browsers to access the website.)

 

Login Details:

 

Your log in details will be the same as the email address and password you used to register on the applicant side of the system.

 

  • You can return to the main home page at any time by clicking on ‘Work Area’ in the top headings bar

 

Notification

  • We will email you with the batch information and review date.
  • For Int/ObsA/ObsB: Application batch information is emailed to the committee on the 1st of each month (or first working day after the 1st) and the comments are due back from the committee by the 15th of the month.
  • For Int/ObsA/ObsB: Amendment batch information is emailed to the committee on the 1st and the 15th of each month and the comments are due back from the committee by the 15th and the 1st of the month.  
  • For CaRR: Application and amendment batch information will be emailed to the committee on a rolling basis. The due date for the committees comments will be two weeks from the date the application/amendment is received.

 

Process to review applications

· Please click on the ‘To Review with cmte’ box to view the list of applications received.

· To view an application please click on it and then, in the left column under Actions, click on ‘Review application’.

· This will bring up the ‘Navigation’ page, listing all sections of the form. You can click on specific sections to view the answers.

· One you have chosen a section you can use the ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ buttons to progress through the full application. At any point, you can click on ‘Navigate’ to return to the ‘Navigation’ page of the application.

 

· To expand the response box for individual questions, please click on the bottom right corner of the response box and drag it outwards. Alternatively, you can click on ‘Print’ button in the left Actions column, this will generate a pdf copy of the application for you to view on the screen if reqd.

· You can add overall comments for each application by clicking ‘Form Comments’ on the left under Actions, and clicking ‘Add Comment’. After you have entered your comments, please click ‘Save’.

 

· Reviewers will be able to view each others’ comments in both ‘Panel Comments’ and ‘Form Comments’.

· The signatures section is the last section of the application, when you reach this section and click on ‘next’ arrow, it will keep returning to this page

· The comments you have entered for Panel and Form comments – will be copied onto the letters to the applicants. 

· In the list of applications, once an application has been reviewed, it is removed from the list. To flag up certain applications for whatever reason, you can click on the ‘tick’ (tick will turn 'green') and the colour of the listing will change from yellow to grey. Or you can also click on the ‘flag’ icon to highlight specific applications. You can reverse the action if there are any errors.
